Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026 (evening)
These terms explain how ClaimRight works with you. ClaimRight is operated by Claim Right (operating as ClaimRight), 5309 New Utrecht Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11219. Questions: info@claimrightny.com.
1. What we do
ClaimRight is a claims and billing advocacy service. We review your case, organize your documents, and communicate with companies (by email, letter and phone) to dispute bills and charges and request refunds on your behalf.
We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. Nothing we say is a legal opinion. If your matter needs a lawyer, we will tell you, and you are free to hire one at any time.
We don’t handle insurance claims of any kind (auto, health, home, property or travel). We don’t handle credit reports, debt settlement or credit repair, and we never hold client money. Medical cases cover billing errors by a hospital, doctor or lab only; rental cases cover disputes with the rental company (or the claims company acting for it) only.
2. Submitting a case and authorization
You submit your case, sign a written authorization and pay our flat fee on our website. We only contact a company for you after you have signed that authorization. If we review your case and decide not to take it, we tell you why and refund you in full. Cases sent to us earlier for a free review, and quotes we emailed, keep the terms that were shown with them. That authorization covers the company and matter named in it, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
3. No-win refund
We can’t promise any particular result. Companies make their own decisions, and some disputes are lost even when they are handled well. What we do promise is a full refund of our fee if we don’t win.
In short: A win means the company gives you any refund, credit or bill reduction. If they deny in writing or nothing comes within 60 days of filing, you get your full $300 back.
The details:
- What counts as a win. The company gives any refund, credit, waiver or reduction of the bill on the claim we filed. Any amount counts; we don’t promise a specific amount. If the company offers something and you decide to turn it down, that also counts as a win.
- When we refund your fee. If the company denies the claim in writing, or if 60 days pass from the day we file it with the company without a win, we refund your full fee.
- How. To your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
- Conditions. The no-win refund applies as long as you give us the documents and information we ask for, don’t withdraw the case or your authorization before there is an outcome, and don’t settle with the company directly without telling us.
The no-win refund covers cases paid on our website, and cases quoted on or after October 12, 2026 with this refund promise shown in the quote. If we decide not to start work after you have paid, we refund you in full. This is our service promise, not legal advice.
4. You stay in control
We never accept a settlement, sign anything or agree to pay anything for you without your approval. You agree to give us accurate information and to tell us if the company contacts you directly.
5. Fees
Our fee is one flat $300, the same for every case, charged at checkout on our website after you sign the authorization. It is covered by the no-win refund in section 3. We don’t take claims where the amount at stake is under $300, because our fee would be more than you could get back. If $300 is half or more of the amount at stake, the form says so plainly as soon as you enter the amount, so you can decide whether it is worth it for you.
The fee is shown before you pay, and your confirmation email repeats it. Payments are processed by our card payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
6. Ending our work
You can stop our work at any time by emailing us. We may also decline or stop a case, for example if it needs a lawyer or a licensed professional, or if information turns out to be inaccurate. We will tell you why.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for that case. We are not responsible for decisions made by the companies we contact.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your case is the one in effect when you submitted and paid for it (or, for an emailed quote, when you approved it).
